Recently, I made a fantastic spring arrangement at Jacques Flower Shop made with a gorgeous fern base, tulips, hydrangea, amazingly fragrant ginestra, and spray stock. Watch the hyperlapse video below to see the process!
We first laid the leather fern in a "North, South, East, West" fashion, crossing the stems to provide a solid foundation. Next was the hydrangea - which you can see I changed the placement of multiple times!
Now take note! Aimee taught us a little trick to keep your tulips from growing and changing the appearance of your arrangement over time. Using a floral knife, make one very small, shallow slit from the bottom of the leaves into the top of the stem. I won't lie, it was a bit nerve-wracking!
The spray stock balanced out the arrangement on the other side, and then we filled in the arrangement with the absolutely delicious smelling ginestra and pussy willow. And, as usual, I continued to move pieces around until I brought the beautiful spring flower arrangement home. Check out the final result!
